High school course registration opens soon for high schools in Bellingham Public Schools. Current high school students (grades 9 to 11) have until March 7 to pick their classes for next school year. Counselors will share more information with students in coming days and will host information sessions about how students will register and the different pathways to graduation.

The 2024-25 High School Course Catalog is now available online. This publication outlines the district’s graduation requirements and lays out the variety of courses available to high school students. A limited number of print copies are available in school counseling offices as students register.

Incoming ninth grade

Registration for incoming grade nine students begins in March. High school counselors will visit eighth graders at their middle schools in March and meet with them to register for their ninth grade classes before March 28.

Eighth grade students and their families are also invited to high school information nights in March. These dates are listed below and on page 63 of the course catalog.

• Bellingham High School, 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18
• Options High School, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 (For incoming grade 9 and other interested students)
• Sehome High School: 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18
• Squalicum High School: 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18
