A Message from the Department of Teaching and Learning

Dear 11th grade students and families,

Our high schools will be hosting an opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT test in October. This is an optional testing opportunity that will be held during the school day and is at no cost to students. Students need to sign up by 3:30 on Friday, Sept. 15.

The PSAT will be held the week of Oct. 23-27, and your school will share a specific testing date and time with you soon.

Here is a little more information about the PSAT:

• It is a computer-based test.
• It has a reading section and a math section.
• It takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
• Is the first step toward some scholarship and recognition programs, such as the National Merit program
• Learn more about the PSAT/NSMQT at the College Board’s website.
