Dear families of and students in grades 11 and 12,

We are pleased to share that Squalicum High School will be an SAT testing site for the Saturday, Dec. 2 SAT, and registration will open Friday morning, Oct. 13.

Students register online directly with the College Board. Once a testing site has been added on the College Board’s website, any student in the region may register, which is why we are notifying our Bellingham Public Schools students and families in advance of the registration opening. The site has limited capacity and we want to ensure that as many of our BHS, OHS, SHS and SqHS students in 11th and 12th grade as possible can register.

If you want to make sure to have a spot for the SAT at Squalicum on Dec. 2, we suggest setting a reminder for Friday morning, Oct. 13 when the testing site will open up online. Visit the College Board’s SAT information page to learn more about registering for the SAT. An account is required, so students may consider setting up an account now so they are ready to register on Friday.

Before registering, we also encourage students to check the admissions requirements for any colleges they may be considering, because the SAT is no longer a requirement for admission at many schools.
