A Message from Health Services
Dear families, staff and community,
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, there is a free vaccine clinic for children and adults, hosted by Whatcom County Health and Community Services at Bellingham High School.
- Who: any children and adults in our community.
- What: The clinic will provide all childhood vaccinations for kids ages 6 months to 18 years. New 2024-25 flu and COVID-19 vaccines will also be available for adults 19 and older.
- When: 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, September 10
- Where: Bellingham High School (2020 Cornwall Ave.) Please note that the clinic starts during the school day at BHS, so parking may be limited until after dismissal at 3:15.
- How: please pre-register for the free clinic, which will allow us to manage the flow, avoid long waits, and plan for adequate supplies and staffing. If you need help pre-registering, please contact BPSHealth@bellinghamschools.org or 360-676-6455.
Costs and insurance information:
- Childhood vaccines are no cost for ages 6 months to 18 years old.
- Please bring proof of insurance if available.
- For COVID-19 vaccination, please bring vaccine record or visit the WAVerify webpage to have a copy sent to your phone.
This clinic is just one way to obtain required or desired immunizations for childhood diseases and for seasonal illnesses. You may also obtain required immunizations through your health care provider, which will then typically update children's school records. For more information about required immunizations for school-aged children, see the BPS Health Services website.
To access children's immunization records and see if they are due for any additional required or recommended vaccines, parents/guardians can register for a MyIR account and/or contact BPS Health Services at bps.health@bellinghamschools.org or 360-676-6455.
Thank you!
