A Message from Carl Cozier Principal Carissa Jangard

Dear Carl Cozier Elementary School staff, families and neighbors,

We are excited to share with you an update on our plans and progress toward building a new Carl Cozier Elementary within the city’s Civic Complex.

Our Carl Cozier Educational Specifications and Design Advisory Committee, which is a group comprised of staff, parents, architects, contractors, City of Bellingham representatives and community members, has been meeting for over a year.

The committee co-chairs and architects plan to share draft site plans and timelines and listen to your feedback.

You are invited to attend the community meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 19 at Carl Cozier Elementary.

Our 2022 bond helps fund the design, planning process and some construction costs for a new Carl Cozier. A future community-supported bond will help pay for the project in full, which will benefit our students and community.

We appreciate your support of our schools and strive to be good communicators and neighbors.

We hope to see you on May 19, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Carissa Jangard
