Incoming 9th Grade Registration (Class of 2030)

Registration & Course Request Timeline

  • 8th Graders attending a Public Middle School in BPS (Kulshan, Shuksan, Whatcom) will be visited by their BHS Counselor to complete the registration & course selection process. 
  • BHS Counselors will conduct two visits at each middle school:
    • Whatcom - Tuesday, March 10th, & Wednesday, March 18th
    • Kulshan - Wednesday, March 11th & Tuesday, March 17th
    • Shuksan - Thursday, March 12th & Thursday, March 19th

8th Grade Family Night was held at BHS from 6:30-8pm on Monday, March 16th

Step #2 - Submitting Course Requests

Kulshan/Shuksan/Whatcom

Guide for Uploading Requests to Skyward

Use the following step-by-step guide for submitting Course Requests. Your AVID Teachers at your school will work with you to upload course requests to Skyward.

Private School/BFPP

After you have completed your 2030 Course Request Worksheet, please return it to Bellingham High School by Friday, March 20th. 

Based on what you have written on your worksheet, your BHS Counselor will manually enter your course requests into Skyward.

Step #3 - Mark Your Calendars!

Schedules will be finalized in late August and will be available in Skyward no earlier than one week prior to the first day of school. Freshmen will receive their schedule at Freshmen Orientation, as well as a guided tour of where their classes are located in the building.

Freshmen Orientation for Class of 2030 is scheduled for Friday, August 28th, from 8:30am to 12:30pm at Bellingham High School.
